Dr. Zeyad Fayed
Associate Professor of Neurosurgery
Dr.\ Zeiad Y. Fayed, M.D., Ph.D. is an associate professor of neurosurgery, stereotactic and functional neurosurgery faculty of Medicine Ain Shams University.
Dr. Fayed performs deep brain stimulation (DBS) surgery for patients with Parkinson’s disease, tremor, dystonia, and obsessive-compulsive disorder as well as surgical procedures for patients with trigeminal neuralgia, intractable pain syndromes and spasticity.
He also performed more than five hundred ablative procedure for Parkinson’s disease and dystonia
Dr. Zeiad Fayed received his medical degree from the University of Ain Shams 1999. He completed his residency in the same institution in 2004 and obtained his Ph.D. in 2008. He obtained his fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons in England in 2005 and he traveled to the Cleveland Clinic in 2006, completed his fellowship in Stereotactic and Functional Neurosurgery in 2007.
Dr. Fayed has attended different training courses and workshops in Paris, Switzerland, Milan, Rome, Amsterdam, and Madrid …etc. He has lectured as a distinguished speaker in many international conferences and he was the Chairman of the functional neurosurgery session in the interim meeting of the world federation of the neurosurgical societies in 2015.
